Social Inclusion Funding
Sustainable Inclusive Communities
Funding will improve access to services and community activities for hard to reach and disadvantaged/isolated community members. “Hard to Reach” groups includes young people, older people, people with disabilities, people living alone and those in isolated areas, migrants, new communities, travellers, unemployed people, children, women, isolated rural men.
Support is available for capital investment for hard to reach groups which will enable them to fully participate in their local community. Priority will be given to innovative projects which target hard to reach groups and projects which will be sustainable and well used in the future. Funding will be focused on projects that meet the needs of the most disadvantaged groups and geographical areas. A training budget is also available that engages young people and other hard to reach groups across County Leitrim.
The LEADER Programme is now effectively closed for Applications as we currently have project applications completed which are seeking more funding than is available. A decision was made that we are no longer accepting applications, however we will continue to accept Expression of Interest Forms.

How to Apply for Social Inclusion Funding?
The submission of an Expression of Interest Form is the first step in applying for LEADER Funding. It is your opportunity to present your proposed project to the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) who will determine if your project is eligible for funding and if you can advance to the next stage of the Application Process. Please ensure that you read the Information Booklet in full which gives an overview of the LEADER Programme in County Leitrim. It will also give you information on who can apply, the types of projects which are eligible for funding and the rates of funding available. Once you submit your fully complete Expression of Interest Form Leitrim Development Company will contact you to outline if your proposed project is eligible for funding or not and if you can proceed to full Application.
