North Connaught Youth & Community Services received LEADER funding for the provision of a youth café as a dedicated space for young people in Drumkeerin. This involved the refurbishment of the old courthouse in the village. This project has resulted in a purpose built youth café in Drumkeerin accessible to all young people, agencies and organisations engaged in the provision of non formal activities for youth. North Connaught Youth & Community Services have been providing youth service provision in County Leitrim since 1988. While initially covering South Leitrim they now operate on a county wide basis. They seek to provide a high quality locally based youth service for young people aged 7 – 18 years.
