The South Leitrim Community Network hosted a successful information evening in Ballinamore on the 25th of April for Community groups entitled 'What's Out There for Communities?'.

Presentations were given by James Duffy, Sustainable Development Officer with Leitrim Development Company on the LEADER programme and Paul Kirkpatrick from Leitrim Co Council on the PEACE IV programme.

Jane Golden, Leitrim Public Participation Network(PPN) Worker, spoke on the progress of the PPN to date and plans for the future. Maureen Martin who is a community representative on the Local Community Development Committee(LCDC) provided an input on the work of this structure to date.
