County Leitrim Job Club sponsored by Leitrim Development Company and funded by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection are providing 4-week Job Seeking Skills Programmes in; Carrick on Shannon, Manorhamilton, Ballinamore, Mohill and Drumshanbo. The training runs Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and includes:

• CV Preparation
• Interview Skills
• Job Application Forms
• Job Searching
• Certified Manual Handling

Recently the Job Club has linked with the Taste4Success programme run by Skillsnet which allows participants to complete a Customer Service Module and 6 hours work experience. Job club groups consist of 10 to 12 people all with one thing in common – they are all interested in finding employment.

There is always a good mix of people in the group from different careers and backgrounds and this makes the learning experience more enjoyable and interesting as everybody learns from each other. The aim of the Job Club is to assist and support people, providing guidance, information and direct links to employment.

The Job Club has a number of programmes planned from October to December:
