Rural Development Programme 2023-2027 LEADER
The next LEADER programme is opening for applications in autumn this year. We are currently preparing a new Local Development Strategy for the next programme which will determine how we will allocate the €6.3 million allocation of funding for County Leitrim. Tourism, Businesses, Farming Diversification, Community Projects and Facilities, Inclusion Programmes, the Environment or Climate Issues are all areas that LEADER can support and fund.
Nine consultation events took place in towns and villages across the county In May. They included introductory presentations followed by a range of round table discussions to capture first-hand the needs of the county and input on projects, suggestions and comments. An online survey and the opportunity for written submissions was also available.
Further details will be updated on our website when the strategy is completed.
