Focusing on Teenagers & Young Adults (targeting age 15-40 years old)
Under the 2023-2027 LEADER Programme, Funding is available for community/voluntary youth organisations/clubs/groups for capital costs e.g. equipment, minor upgrade of facilities, IT equipment, etc. (Theme 2: Rural Infrastructure & Social Inclusion, Objective 10.1 Rural Youth, Action 10.1.1. of the Local Development Strategy).

Leitrim Development Company is currently accepting expressions of interest for projects from across the County. Please note this is a time limited call and you must submit an Expression of Interest in order for your project to be considered for funding. Once the deadline date lapses, there will be no funding specifically for Youth projects.
Primary Target Group(s): Youth Groups/Organisations, Macra, Foróige, etc.
Criteria:- Projects seeking €5,000 funding or more can apply to this call.
- At least 25% match funding will be required.
Closing Date: Completed Expressions of Interest must be submitted to Leitrim Development Company by 5.00pm, Tuesday 30th September 2025 email: leader@ldco.ie or post to: LEADER Team, Leitrim Development Company, Church Street, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim.
This is a time limited call and may be competitive.
The submission of a successful Expression of Interest does not guarantee receiving grant funding.

- Minor Upgrade of youth facilities
- Equipment for youth groups/organisations
- IT Equipment
- Intergenerational and community project

Once you submit your fully complete Expression of Interest Form before the deadline date, Leitrim Development Company will review all EOIs and contact you to outline if your proposed project is eligible for funding and meets the criteria of this call or not and if you can proceed to full Application.
