Social Farming for Peace & Integration (SoPI)

Leitrim Development Company wishes to recruit five positions for the Social Farming for Peace & Integration (SoPI) a project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programme Body (SEPUB).

Summary

Post 1 SoPI PEACEPLUS Project Manager up to €60,000 PA, closing date 26/09/2025

Post 3 SoPI PEACEPLUS Project Administrator up to €30,000 PA, closing date 26/09/2025
Post 4 SoPI PEACEPLUS Project Placement Coordinator up to €36,500 PA, closing date 04/10/2025
Post 5 SoPI PEACEPLUS Project Monitoring & Impact coordinator up to €40,000 PA, closing date 04/10/2025

Leitrim Integrated Development Company CLG is a community led, grassroots NGO, local development organisation based in Co Leitrim and we are looking to assemble a team to deliver The Growing Together: Social Farming for Peace and Inclusion (SoPI) project approved by the SEUPB for measure 4.2 in the PEACEPLUS programme Investment Area 4.2 - Rural Regeneration and Social Inclusion Programme which aims to enhance and increase the use of social farms to deliver a peace dividend in three key areas: individual inclusion and integration in communities, cross-community and cross-tradition understanding, and cross border integration and activities. This four-year project involves four partners Leitrim Development Company (Lead Partner), Rural Support, Northern Ireland, University College Dublin and Queens University Belfast. Social farming is an outcome focused, support placement for people on an ordinary working farm using the natural assets of the farm and the farmer and surrounding community to support a person to achieve some of their own chosen goals.

Reporting to: The project lead in Leitrim Integrated Development Company CLG

Location: Based at the project offices in Co. Leitrim. Related travel requires a car owner with clean driving license. Some roles will be blended including elements of office, outreach, remote and homeworking.

Position: Fulltime 9am-5pm specified purpose contracts to end of August 2029

Social Farming Ireland National Network

Leitrim Development Company wishes to recruit four positions for the Social Farming Ireland National Network at various locations around the country in a project funded by Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine (DAFM).

Summary

Post 1 Social Farming Development Manager North REMOTE up to €48,000 PA, closing date 10/10/2025
Post 2 Social Farming Development Manager South REMOTE up to €48,000 PA, closing date 10/10/2025
Post 3 Social Farming Regional Co-ordinator CORK Remote up to €40,000 PA, closing date 10/10/2025
Post 4 Social Farming administrator LEITRIM up to €32,500 PA, closing date 26/09/2025

Leitrim Integrated Development Company CLG is a community led, grassroots NGO, local development organisation based in Co Leitrim and has been delivering the National Social Farming Ireland network for 10 years. This new national network project which will be delivered over the next 5 years from 2025 to 2030 will implement actions across 6 objectives and will employ a team of dedicated staff across the country to engage with over 250 social farmers, up to 450 service / commissioners and over 1200 participants and other stakeholders on an annual basis.
The objective are as follows
1. Consolidated and expand the existing Social farming network.
2. Expand Commissioning of placements to support more people and for longer
3. Support Innovation and knowledge transfer about social farming in the farming / Agri sector
4. To promote social farming as a diversification option for framers
5. To enhance the environmental sustainability of social farming practice
6. To raise awareness of Social farming, its benefits in the public domain across media and social media.
These roles will support LDC in implanting and delivering this around the country.

Reporting to: The project lead in Leitrim Integrated Development Company CLG

Location: 3 of these posts are remote / blended positions (outreach, remote and homeworking) and the admin post is based at the offices in Drumshanbo Co. Leitrim. Related travel requires a car owner with clean driving license.

Position: Fulltime 9am-5pm specified purpose, annual renewable contracts to end of September 2030
